TOPS

TOPS, or The Outreach Program for Soccer, is designed to help children of all ages (4 through 22) with various disabilities participate in soccer and learn all of the skills and life lessons associated with team sports. It doesn’t matter what the disability – TOPS kids are an integral part of the CFK Family.

The TOPS program not only gives kids confidence in themselves, it enhances development of verbal, motor, behavioral and social skills. Frustration levels are kept to a minimum – no scores are kept. Kids are simply encouraged to do their best – no matter what the disability. We also encourage siblings to play with our TOPS kids, which helps foster better understanding about children with disabilities and allows them to help out on the field.

Our TOPS program is divided into two groups – kids that have played for a few years and beginners, which are mostly between 4-10 years old. Our TOPS kids meet at Ward Soccer Field in Winter Park on Sunday afternoons. They play for 8 weeks, and have a huge celebration at the end of each Fall and Spring season. The medals and trophies they receive often become cherished reminders of remarkable achievement.

Stretching out before they start the game.

They finally get their uniforms and they cannot wait to put them on!

A great throw-in!
